In recent years he has always done training camps of several weeks before his fights, mostly in Thailand and once in Chicago as well. This time he wanted to stay closer to his family and not be away from them for several weeks. That is why he did the camp together with his training partner Endrit, at the invitation of [Lom-Ali Eskiev](https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/33885-lom-ali-eskijew-leon), at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf. The gym is one of the best in Germany, and probably in Europe too. ## Training under Max Schwindt Under coach Max Schwindt he trained with well-known fighters, including [Lom-Ali Eskiev](https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/33885-lom-ali-eskijew-leon) (FNC champion), [Iwan Tagner](https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/342410-iwan-tagner) and [Altin Zenuni](https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/222410-altan-zenuni). ![Gökhan Aksu (left) with the team in the cage at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf](https://www.goekhan-aksu.com/images/news/ufd-gym-duesseldorf-kaefig.jpg) ![The team at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf](https://www.goekhan-aksu.com/images/news/ufd-gym-duesseldorf-team.jpg) On the weekends he could therefore travel home more often, spend time with his family and put the finishing touches on the game plan at his home gym, MAA Gym in Rosenheim, with Refik Salihi. ## Gökhan on the camp "For me it was a new experience to spend the preparation on German soil. In my opinion the UFD Gym is one of the best gyms in Germany and I am glad to have been part of it. The professionalism, the level and the hospitality of the whole team impressed me a great deal. For me it was definitely the right decision to do my fight preparation at the UFD Gym." [← All news](https://www.goekhan-aksu.com/en/news.md)
