Gökhan Aksu prepared for the fight against Niko Samsonidse at Oktagon 96 at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf this time. On the weekends he was home with his family in Rosenheim.
Gökhan Aksu prepared in Düsseldorf this time for the fight against Niko Samsonidse at Oktagon 96 on 31 October 2026 at SAP Garden in Munich.
In recent years he has always done training camps of several weeks before his fights, mostly in Thailand and once in Chicago as well. This time he wanted to stay closer to his family and not be away from them for several weeks. That is why he did the camp together with his training partner Endrit, at the invitation of Lom-Ali Eskiev, at the UFD Gym in Düsseldorf. The gym is one of the best in Germany, and probably in Europe too.
Training under Max Schwindt
Under coach Max Schwindt he trained with well-known fighters, including Lom-Ali Eskiev (FNC champion), Iwan Tagner and Altin Zenuni.
On the weekends he could therefore travel home more often, spend time with his family and put the finishing touches on the game plan at his home gym, MAA Gym in Rosenheim, with Refik Salihi.

"For me it was a new experience to spend the preparation on German soil. In my opinion the UFD Gym is one of the best gyms in Germany and I am glad to have been part of it. The professionalism, the level and the hospitality of the whole team impressed me a great deal. For me it was definitely the right decision to do my fight preparation at the UFD Gym."
